When working with refugee women and female asylum seekers, my focus is on using the power of creative self-expression to help with positive psychological adaptation and adjustment, such as reinforcing identity, self-determination, resilience, self-efficacy, flexibility, a sense of belonging and more.
We all now know that physical and emotional trauma lodges in the body. What we are now faced with is the possibility that joy, happiness and well-being can also be deeply embedded at a cellular level by the very same biological pathways - Dr P Churba-Doyle

What is the evidence?
